IWN Champions
About the Champions program
We launched the Champions program in 2015 to promote innovative practices, and develop professional and leadership skills within the water industry.
The program was built from discussions with Victorian water corporation Managing Directors, who valued IWN’s ability to enhance and upskill staff within the water industry. With our unique model, we are able to connect and nurture staff, providing benefits individually and across the industry.
Our Champions are supported with a series of workshops, as well as professional one-on-one mentoring and coaching. For us, they are also an important conduit between IWN and our member water corporations, helping us engage on a broader scale.

Regional working groups
Each of our member organisations has an IWN Champion, who is part of a regional working group to identify and share innovative ideas. There are three groups, which meet regularly during the year:
Western Region (Lower Murray Water, Coliban Water, Central Highlands Water, Barwon Water, and Wannon Water)
Eastern Region (Goulburn Valley Water, North East Water, East Gippsland Water, Gippsland Water, South Gippsland Water and Westernport Water)
Central Region (Greater Western Water, Yarra Valley Water, South East Water, Melbourne Water, TasWater and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning)
